Quarz wrote: Lastly a question: If we talk about uploading something, I suppose everyone uses ones own account data or will there be some collection account?
I am planing to add a way to use the account data to login into the software which is then able to perform tasks here in the forum.
So if a card wants to upload something here (or some other site) it can aslong as you share the account data with the application.
For other tasks it could use a hardcoded public account to upload something to a porn site for example.
Quarz wrote: Btw. the place where I would most like things to get uploaded to would be right in this forum in threads only visible to locked in users.
Thats a good idea, would do something like that for level 3+ public humiliation cards.
Quarz wrote: When it comes to public humiliation stuff I wonder about security in multiple ways.
............
Security is a problem when you use cards from untrustworthy sources, we can add rules in the forum to only publish the source code and let the user compile the card. Or we could use a hash value to validate the compiled file, anyway in the end we need a trustworthy instance which checks these user generated cards if it ever comes to this.

I like the subdivision of humilliations.

I don't know how cards are working in ct2 but I agree with the security issue.

PS: Automatically uploading pics to a site reminded me of an idea I got about using pictures from external sources.

The correct onomatopoeia is "oops, I already did..."

Unless "ups" is the British spelling.

As for transmitting data, don't do anything silly like LG, where they transmit your file names unencrypted with the Boolean indicating that you've opted out of data collecting.

Hm the "ups" seems to be german then ^^ thought it was commonly used.

I have problems to fully understand your point, are you afraid that the software could spy on you? Or are you afraid that the software could start some unwanted function / cardeffect even if the function was disabled?
For the first issue, i can understand that, i would be very carefull myself to run software from someone i dont know.
I could post the source code if it helps to gain some trust, people could check the code and compare the hash value or even compile it by themself.
The second issue is very easy to avoid, cards aren't hardcoded if you dont like humiliation cards of this type and even having them in your software makes you paranoidal just remove them /don't add them to your collection.

What about making an altogether separate program that can take/upload pictures. It can have all the functionality you want, share settings with the teaseviewer, etc., but require people to opt in by downloading it separately and running it separately but concurrently, and allows people to opt out by just deleting that one program.

I'm worried that adding in that kind of functionality turns a fun program into potential malware, but by having it be separate, people can accept their own risk. It might help people be more accepting of the process, too.

The Teaseviewer itself has no functions for such actions the cards itself bring these into the software. See each card an own sperate program, dont add a card into the software which can do such things and be sure it will never happen.

So far there is 1 function using a online connection. (I will talk about that later :D)
If you feel unconforable with this function i can add a lite version.

No its not there its far to extreme for the Core Set and this Set contains the only CTI 2 cards available so far.

If there is interest i will create a humuliation booster pack sometime including such cards.
If you have good ideas for cards you can already post them here, we need to collect a bunch of ideas for a good boosterpack.
