Hello, v0.4 took more time as i planed but here it is.
I revised the CardCreators data management, it uses now png and gif metadata to store all necessary information inside the card itself, which is a huge plus when it comes to sharing the cards online.
Due to this new datamanagement all cards made with v0.3 or lower can not be edited or loaded into the CardCreator of v0.4 anymore, which means you would have to recreate all the cards you made so far per hand.
*Looking at the empty card section in our forum, i don´t think that this is a big problem, sadly*
What is new?
- The CardCreator now uses image metadata to store all the card data inside the card itself.
+ You can now extract the card image and the card logo using the cardmanager.
+ You can easliy edit external cards (v0.4+).
- Increased file size.
- Basic spellchecking (CardCreator)
- Prune text (CardCreator)
- Unifies the textsize to match with the longest text line.
- Go to slide...
- A doubleclick on the slide textfield in the topleft corner opens a menu which lets you jump to a specific slide.
- Prevent dublicate images and cards
- You can find this option under the presets menu.
- Fixed many bugs
- Cardmanager accessible again.
- Fixed a bug, which disallowed to address two Cardtypes to a file (CardCreator)
- .....
Release version 0.4.1 (Alpha)
Update, removed the memory leak which was caused by the ticker.
All old versions below 0.4.1 suffer from this bug.
But therefore you get some other features a bit earlier.
What is new?
- Removed memory leak error in the ticker.
- Replaced the default Java icon with a a new CTI icon (Currently there are 3 different icons, randomly choosen)
- Unbound the ticker from the slideduration, PAGEUP= Strokerate + 1 PAGEDOWN = Strokerate - 1 (Set Strokerate to 0 and it will always match the slideduration, exactly like in the old system)
- This is kind of a big design change, up to now the ticker was bound to the slideduration but this system had some flaws, for example a slideuration of 0,1 seconds led to a minimal strokerate of 10 per second (or zero but thats not the point).
There was no way to run a very fast slideshow with a normal strokecount
(Maybe a Mind Control card could order you to view a only image slideshow with a slideduration of 0,1 with only 1 stroke per second).
So i made a new variable which takes care of the timeintervall, the Strokerate. Until now Strokerate and Strokecount adressed the same value and it was a bit confusing, i would propose to split them into this formular: The new buttons to change the strokerate are Pageup and Pagedown, you can also set the the strokerate to 0 and it will use the slideduration like it used to be, this is also the default value since the old system used a slidebound strokerate.
The strokerate label is currently labeled as "ratio: ...", it sould be "rate:... " sorry to cause more confusion.
- This is kind of a big design change, up to now the ticker was bound to the slideduration but this system had some flaws, for example a slideuration of 0,1 seconds led to a minimal strokerate of 10 per second (or zero but thats not the point).
Near future:
- Faster cardmanager update mechanic.
- Better file filter to identify cards.
- Slideshow freezes if you delete the very last slide of an slideshow.
- The "load" button can´t load cards outside the Cards folder.
