I have been wandering how you get a rather large amount of pictures in a fast manner?

There is no fast way.

You can download someone else collection but you can't be sure you will like all the pictures.

A good way is regularly checking the sites where artists post their pictures. That helps you to find similar artists.

You can download many stuff from exhentai using the torrent function.
But besides that i would suggest to add pictures during the daily fap routine.

I sometimes download everything from certain tumblr, but then I select the pictures manually.
